MICRO-COCKTAIL AESTHETIC FACIALS
Micro-cocktail facial is an intensive but minimally invasive aesthetic facial using microneedling and infusion of cocktail ingredients into the skin. Microneedling pricks the skin by a set of tiny needles or “microneedles” to cause minimal injury which encourages the production of new collagen tissues. The cocktail ingredients are powerful nutrients which are absorbed through microchannels from microneedling that help in skin repair, renewal, and radiance. The theory is that new collagen that’s formed will help smooth out your skin’s appearance, helping to fill in fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Choose the right micro-cocktail according to your skin condition.

Healing Process
After care / what clients can expect after treatment
Redness – There will normally be a degree of redness in the area, this is to be expected and is as a result of the inflammation that causes collagen induction. When using a 0.5mn roller this redness will normally clear within a few hours but can persists up to 2 days in some cases.
Itchiness – Some clients may experience itchiness in the area due to the release of histamines.
Dryness – Some skin dryness may be experienced because the moisture barrier of the skin has been breached by the microneedling and is a normal reaction.
Slight swelling and tenderness – As the surface of the skin has been broken by the microneedless it will be slightly swollen and a little tender for a few hours or in some cases up to few days.
Feeling of tightness in the skin – There may be an immediate feeling of tightening in the skin as the microneedling shortens the elastin fibres so tightening the skin.
Increased sensitivity to sunlight – The skin will be having an increased sensitivity to sunlight for several hours after treatment. Clients should be advised to avoid sun exposure and wear a minimum of 30 SPF.
After Care following a Microneedling treatment
- Using tepid water to cleanse the face for the first 48 hours following treatment and drying the area gently without rubbing
- Using extra moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated, as the skin will feel tighter and drier (this is quite normal)
- Ensuring that hands are always clean when touching the area treated, to avoid infections
- Avoid using sunbathing, using a sun bed, sauna or steam bath 24 hours following treatment
- Avoid any forms of hair removal (epilation, waxing, threading) or bleaching on the face for at least 36 hours
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 3-5 days
- Avoid excessive exercise immediately after treatment
- Not applying conventional make-up products to the skin for the first 12 hours following treatment, some mineral based make-up products are able to be applied as recommended by your practitioner
- Applying the prescribed skincare products given to by your practitioner according to the regime specifically designed for you
- Always apply a minimum of SP30 sun protection
Anticipate Results Following a Treatment
- After the initial treatment the skin will feel tighter and fresher
- The increase in collagen induction begins with 48 hours of treatment; however it usually takes at least 3-4 treatments to see significant result.
- The result will continue to improve for 3-12 months following treatment as a whole new collagen matrix is formed within the skin.
- New collagen laid down should last over a period of several years making microneedling a long lasting treatment.
- Depending on what is being treated there should be a visible reduction in scar tissue, stretch marks, improved elasticity, increased thickening of the skin.
