What is Radio Frequency?

As we age, our elastin and collagen proteins decrease which causes our skin to wrinkle and sag, as well as form cellulite. Radio Frequency utilises an advanced combination of popular and proven technologies to stimulate collagen, causing it to contract and tighten, while melting stubborn fat cells.

Radio Frequency (RF) technology delivers a safe electrical current to the treatment area which penetrates the skin and heats the subcutaneous fat layer of skin to a level temperature that client can take.

The treatment shrinks stubborn fat cells that just won’t be removed regardless of diet and exercise which can result in long-term fat reduction.

Who are the candidates for Radio Frequency?

The Radio Frequency treatment helps in melting stubborn fats in any part of the body. It is more ideal for someone in their 40s or 50s who starting to show signs of aging. This is great especially for clients who have a goal to lose a few inches down before their holiday, special events, or just simply combine it with their regular gym exercises for maximum results. Radio Frequency is also applicable for clients who just had undergone liposuction surgery as a follow-up treatment to melt and even out the left fat in the area. The treatment has also a great effect on clients who have starting to show some signs of ageing like saggy arms, bra rolls and menopausal belly fat.

Contraindications

The treatment is contraindicated to clients who are 60 years old or above and who have significant amounts of skin laxity as they will not see the desired results.

Other contraindications include:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Cancer history unless approved by GP
  • Diabetes
  • Use of immunosuppressants
  • Active sores or skin disorders in the area
  • Wait 3-4 weeks after having Botox or other injectables

Procedure

In each session, the therapist will measure the treatment area to monitor the progress every week. The treatment not only involves the actual radio frequency heating session but also other skin tightening treatments such as dry brushing and exfoliating scrub to prepare the skin and maximise the absorption of heat. After the RF heating session, the therapist will then give a vacuum massage therapy to help improve blood and lymphatic circulation to toxins in the area. To maximise the skin tightening treatment, a hot mask body wrap is applied towards the end of the treatment.

Aftercare

Just like any other weight loss program including surgical like liposuction or gym exercises, the treatment needs to be combined with a healthy diet. In order to reach your goal of slimming down to a few inches, being mindful of your eating habits and healthy lifestyle is a must. This includes drinking enough water daily, sleeping on time, having some physical activities, and consuming healthy food throughout the treatment program.

12-Session Program

To see the result of the inch-loss program, it is best to do it once a week for 12 sessions followed by regular maintenance of the treatment at least once a month. The treatment has a progressive result which can be seen 3-6 months after your treatment. Regular treatment can definitely melt stubborn fats and tighten your skin to slow down signs of aging.
